Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glimbo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Glimbo ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who can use Glimbo

You must be old enough to consent to these Terms in your country. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Glimbo only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with local laws.

Your account

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Notify us promptly at hello@glimbo.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We remove personal identifiers; see our Privacy Policy for what anonymized data we retain.

License to use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Glimbo for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the app or its content except as allowed by law
• Use bots, cheats, exploits, or automation to gain unfair advantage
• Interfere with servers, security, or other players' experience
• Harass, threaten, or post hateful or illegal content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with Glimbo
• Scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission

Virtual items and progress

Glimbo includes virtual pets, items, currency, levels, and other digital content ("Virtual Items"). Virtual Items have no real-world cash value and are not redeemable for money. We may change, balance, or discontinue Virtual Items or game features at any time as we improve the game.

You do not own Virtual Items — you receive a limited license to use them within the Service while your account is active and these Terms apply.

Premium and purchases

Some features require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Prices and billing periods are shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or other authorized payment providers; their terms also apply.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through your app store account settings before the renewal date.
• Refunds are handled according to the app store or payment provider's policies.
• We may change prices or Premium features with notice where required by law.

Your content and gameplay data

You may submit photos, voice recordings, text, and other content through the Service ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content, but by creating an account and using Glimbo you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and use your User Content and gameplay responses (including mini-game answers, teaching labels, voice clips, and walk discoveries) to operate, improve, and develop Glimbo — including training and licensing datasets derived from gameplay data for our products and partners.

This license is part of these Terms and applies to all players. It does not transfer ownership of Virtual Items (your Glimb character, levels, and in-game items remain licensed digital content under these Terms, not your personal property).

You represent that you have the right to share your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone else's rights.

Intellectual property

Glimbo, including its characters, art, music, software, trademarks, and story, is owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited license above, we reserve all rights. Do not use our branding or assets without permission.

Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (hosting, maps, payments, ads). We are not responsible for third-party sites or services. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (licenses granted to us, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive termination.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. Glimbo is entertainment software, not professional advice of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50), except where law does not allow such limits.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Disputes

We hope issues can be resolved informally — contact hello@glimbo.io first. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Courts in Bucharest, Romania shall have exclusive jurisdiction where permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
